| Nori (Japan) | Dark green sheets of compressed sea laver, which are used as edible wrappers around sushi and as a shredded garnish on many soup and noodle dish. Store nori in an airtight container away from light, heat and more - essentially - steam. Hold it briefly over a flame to crisp and brighten its color before using. |
