Fried Soya Bean Cake and Long Beans

 

150g streaky pork
115g long beans
75 g dried preserved radish
115g prawns
1 soya bean cake
1 big red onion
2 pips garlic
2 fresh red chilies
monosodium glutamate / seasoning (optional)
7 tablespoons cooking oil
salt to taste

 

  1. Clean pork and cut into small pieces.
  2. Soak dried preserved radish in water for 15 minutes then slice thinly.
  3. Shell, wash and drain prawns.
  4. Cut onion into quarters.
  5. Cut long beans into 5cm lengths.
  6. Mince garlic.

Method :

  1. Heat pan. Add 7 tablespoons oil. When oil is hot, fry soya bean cake till brown. Dish out and cut into cubes.
  2. Dish out oil leaving about 4 tablespoons. Add garlic and onion. Fry until transparent.
  3. Add pork, dried preserved radish and long beans. Stir for 2 minutes. Add a little water and 1 tablespoon light soya sauce.
  4. Simmer until long beans are quite soft. Add prawns, soya bean cake, pinch of seasoning, chilies and salt to taste. Add a little more water if you want some gravy.
  5. Stir until all ingredients are cooked. Dish out and serve.
