Ginger Biscuits


Makes about 20 biscuits

Ingredients

  • Ginger Biscuits
  • ½ cup plain flour
  • ½ cup caster sugar
  • ¼ teaspoon bicarbonate of soda
  • Pinch of salt
  • 2 tablespoons ground ginger
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 55g butter
  • 1 tablespoon golden syrup
  • 1 small egg
 

Method for Cooking Ginger Biscuits:

  1. Preheat oven to 170°C. sift flour, sugar, bicarbonate of soda and slat into a bowl. Add ginger and cinnamon. Work butter in with hands until texture of breadcrumbs. Beat golden syrup and egg together and gradually add to flour mix to form dough.

  2. Form into small balls and place well apart on to greased baking trays. Bake until crisply golden.
