Chili Sauce Fish

 

1 piece (300g) vegetarian fish*

Seasoning :
1 tablespoon red chilli (thinly sliced)
3 tablespoons soy sauce

* Vegetarian fish - Can be found at vegetarian stores or prepare at home using fuchook and flavoured tofu. The ingredients are cut into small pieces, wrapped with sea jelly and steamed before serving.

 

  1. Crosscut vegetarian fish into segment. Dot not cut through, cut till half length of the fish body.
  2. Heat up oil in a large skillet over high heat. Then add vegetarian fish, reduce the heat to medium, and saute until browned on all sides. Remove the fish and arrange to its original shape. Set aside.
  3. Heat up a little bit of oil into a small saucepan, then add soy sauce and shredded chillies and bring to boil.
  4. Pour the boiled sauce onto the cut vegetarian fish. Serve immediately.

Remarks : Aromatic fried lavender vegetarian fish with red chilli sauce in dish is very nutritious and rich in protein.
