Steamed Crystal Vegetarian Dumpling on Spinach Puree

 

Ingredients :

6pcs dumpling skin
1pc water chestnut (minced)
10g carrot (minced)
10g mushroom (cubed)
10g bamboo shoot (sliced)
100g spinach leaves
100g water

 

Method :

  1. Blend spinach leaves with water. Set aside.
  2. Mix well the water chestnut, carrot, mushroom and bamboo shoot.
  3. Wrap into small portions with dumpling skin.
  4. Boil till cooked. Remove and place in bowl.
  5. Boil spinach puree and season with a pinch of salt, pepper and sugar.
  6. Add in corn flour to thicken the spinach puree, pour over vegetarian dumpling and serve.

Cooking tips :

  1. Blanch the spinach and add appropriate amount of sugar before blending if into puree form. This will reduce strong vegetable taste.
