Celery in Cream Sauce

Ingredients :
1 small celery heart
7 dessertspoons water
pinch each salt, sugar and monosodium glutamate
4 tablespoons top of milk 3/4 teaspoon cornflour
Method :
Cook the celery in slightly salted boiling water for 20 minutes.
Place 6 dessertspoons of water and the seasonings in a small pan and bring to the boil. Add the milk and then the cornflour, blended with the remaining water, and boil for 11/2 minutes.
Drain the celery and gently press out the remaining moisture in a linen cloth. Cut the celery into 6 pieces and arrange them in a heated serving dish.
