Plain Steamed Rice

Ingredients :
2 heaped tablespoons long-grained rice
6 tablespoons water
Method :
Wash the rice very well. Turn it into a basin with the water. Together they should reach no more than a quarter way up the basin. Place in the steamer and steam for 40 minutes.
Note There is neither salt nor stock in this rice. The way of serving it is to place each portion in a bowl and take it to table to accompany fish, meat or poultry, each in mouth-sized pieces and already in its own sauce.
