Ways To Consume Garlic - As Medicine

To bring down blood pressure and cholesterol, eat fresh raw garlic. Garlic tablets, no matter what manufacturers claim about potency, do lose some of their potency during the processing. You can take 6-10 cloves nightly. If you are new to garlic, you can start with 2 or 3 cloves and work your way up to 10.

Here is an easy way to get a good dose of garlic : Garlic Cloves

  • Peel 6-10 cloves and chop them up.
  • Put in a bowl.
  • Add a little bit of virgin olive oil, enough to coat all the garlic.
  • Spoon it into your mouth, do not chew, but swallow with water.

Tip : if the smell bothers you, chew some fresh parsley or mint after the garlic.

Chopped garlic in honey, which is left to mature for about a week, is a good cold preventive. Start taking a spoonful morning and night, and see the results.

Top doctors and studies from respected universities around the world have revealed that the combination of garlic, vinegar and honey is a wonder potion that can cure everything from cancer to arthritis. The Obesity Research Center disclosed that a daily dos of garlic and vinegar had proved to be a powerful fat destroyer.

Garlic can also be taken as a tincture. To make the tincture, peel 300 grams garlic and mash it with a chef's kitchen knife. (Turn the knife on its side and place it over the clove of garlic and pound it with your hand or you can use a wooden kitchen mallet to mash.) Pour 300 grams 96 percent alcohol over the crushed garlic, place in a glass jar and seal. Keep in a cool, dry and dark place. After 15 days, strain through linen. The garlic tincture should be stored in a glass container; smaller amounts can be poured into a glass bottle with a dropper. Mix drop(s) of the tincture in 1/4 glass of juice, herbal tea or water, and take it three times a day.

Garlic is probably the best, all-round easily available herb. It is a tremendous anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, anti-viral, anti-cancer agent with helps to maintain a healthy heart and immue system. If you are worried about catching the flu, medication and vaccines do not have to be the answer. You can boost your immune system with a much healthier and less expensive step : Eat garlic regularly.
