Soak agar agar well. cut into sections. Parboil in 1 cup of water and 1 tablespoon of sugar until dissolved. Add edible colouring. Fold into a flat plate. Refrigerate and shred.
Put pomegranate seed into boiling water. Parboil until tender. Dish up. Rinse in cold boiled water. Set aside.
Bring coconut milk, salt and sugar to the boil over low heat. Allow to cool.
