Pork Chops in Lemongrass

 

Ingredients

  • 450g deboned pork chops
  • ½ onion
  • 4 lettuce leaves
  • 2 stalks lemongrass
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 4 cloves shallot

Marinade

  • 1/3 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/3 teaspoon five spices powder
  • 3 tablespoons fish gravy
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons oil
 

Method for Cooking Pork Chops in Lemongrass:

  1. Wash pork chops. Wipe dry and pat with the back of knife. Shred onion. Stir fry until cooked. Wash lettuce. Drain well and arrange on plate.

  2. Trim hard tissue off lemongrass. Skin and crush shallot and garlic. Mince or blend well. stir in marinade ingredients. mix well and marinate pork chops for 3 hours.

  3. Wipe away marinade ingredients. fry pork chops over low heat until both sides turn light brown and cooked. Place them on lettuce leaves. Garnish with fried onion.
